Submitting your ad creative
What we need from you before your campaign runs, file limits, and the reminders you'll get.
A campaign can't run until we have your creative. The creative step opens right after payment, and the link in your confirmation email brings you back to it.
What to provide
- Ad focus: whether the ad is for a podcast, a product or a service, and its name.
- Ad copy: the text of the ad. Required.
- Ad URL: where readers go when they click. Required.
- Images: up to 10, each up to 10 MB. For a Classified, one image is plenty; a Sponsorship can use more.
- Internal notes: anything for our team only. Readers never see these.
If you've advertised with us before, the step offers your previously shared copy and images so you can reuse them.
Press Submit creative when you're done. You'll get an email with the subject "Your Upcoming Classified Ad" or "Your Upcoming Sponsorship Ad" showing the copy and the run dates, so you can check them.
Reminders
Until the creative is in, we remind you three times at most: an hour after payment, two days after payment, and three days before the first edition. Each email links back to the creative step.
The link has expired
Creative links stop working after a while. If you see a message that the link is no longer valid, reply to your confirmation email and we'll send a fresh one. You can also send your assets by replying directly.
Changing creative after submitting
Reply to the confirmation email with the new copy or files. The earlier the better: once an edition is being put together, changes may have to wait for the next one.
